Writer: Janet Ruth Falon is an award-winning writer and accomplished author of books, articles, essays, plays, poems, documentary scripts, and more. A former newspaper reporter and magazine editor, and a lifelong personal journal-keeper, her work has appeared in literary anthologies, The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Washington Post, Boston Globe, USA Today, Ladies Home Journal, and consumer and trade publications nationwide. Teacher: Janet helps students of all ages to become better, more comfortable writers. At schools, colleges, and Fortune 500 companies, Janet teaches writing skills and creative process in a variety of workshops for young people and adults. In 1990 she created Words at Work, a program designed to improve writing for and in the workplace. Janet leads a nonfiction writers’ group, and also offers private coaching for individuals who wish to polish their skills or release their inner writer. Janet, a long-time journal keeper, also teaches journaling to a variety of groups, including women with breast cancer.
